Diaphragm

The diaphragm is a wall of muscle that separates the chest (thoracic) from the stomach (abdominal) area. Extending across the base of the ribcage, when the diaphram contracts, air is drawn into the lungs. Therefore the diaphragm is integrated in controlling breathing, as well as vomit, feces and urine.
